Letter to Idaho BLM Please Make Phosphate Mining Companies Clean Up Their Mess

Phosphate pollution is such a big problem in Idaho, it's in everything from water to pork chops. Phosphate bullies are destroying Idaho's waterways, not just by dumping phosphate waste, but also by promoting the adding of more toxic phosphate waste as a solution to "invasive" species problems created by the overuse of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides

In Canada they have even created genetically altered "Enviropigs" to reduce the phosphate pollution. Not only do pigs expel phosphates, that can be used as fertilizer, but also many meats have added phosphate to fraudulently increase water weight and make products look fresh, even when they get old.

Why should we let mining companies steal our resources and sell them back to us, in harmful ways? Shouldn't they at least have to do something more about the mess? Paying for healthcare, special needs classes, weed management, and the other expenses related to careless mining is keeping Idaho in debt and sick.
