Irish Luck and Acid Rain

As a child I had an uncanny ability to find 4 leafed clovers. This rare clover mutation is said to be lucky, it could be just a superstition, but I suspect it may have meant luck to certain little fellows. Leprechauns may be mythical, but acid rain that can eat through quarts...Yes that lucky pot of gold could really be at the end of the rainbow, with clover mutations and even little men, not dressed in green but red with Iron. Certain patterns of mutation give clues to the spiral pattern of DNA.

Discussion Question: what patterns of DNA are more common? I note 6 leaf clovers are more common and that 4 leaf clovers are less common, what hypothesis would you use to explain this mutation?
