Open Letter To British Petroleum

I have been noticing windmill blades seem to be designed for propulsion rather than wind collection. The giants in the sky eating wind with knives, kill birds and use up more materials than necessary. By simply applying the right technology you could amplify wind and collect it with smaller blades.
Attached is an image to show what a wind collection blade looks like. Notice it is rounded and spoon-like not knife-like.

Household fans have cover to protect them, but covers can also be used to direct wind and decrease unwanted friction. I have attached an image of Mollusk shells to show shapes used to amplify waves.
