In order to maintain this you can bribe or kill people. You pay no taxes, due to donated money. Also you can sell very dangerous products at higher prices if you own a patent on them. As you gain control, you loose control. The environment is threatened, because many of the products you promote come from the mines Papa owned at the beginning of the game. Marketing increases profits, suffering increases profits. How long before profits are all that is left?
