Bullying

I think noticing bullying in leaders is a step forward. Bullying was once considered an important part of leadership. People have started to recognise bullying as abusive and unnecessary, it just takes time for people to understand that we all really want the same things and conflicts are unnecessary. Bullying is a long standing tradition and I am not sure how the basketball team will react when I tell them they have been playing basket ball wrong all these years. Players share the mutual goal of making baskets, it is silly to perpetually get in each other's way, simply because one player happens to have a different color shirt from you. Also coaches encourage bullying by creating an unnecessary ball shortage when at least 2 balls are available. Also what about discrimination? Separate basket are not equal, shouldn't players be able to choose which basket they use? Shouldn't basketball players be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their shirt. Good leadership requires moving past counterproductive negative reinforcement toward working together as a team for a common goal.
