Gilbert Newton Lewis Mystery in History

I think I may have bit off a bit more than I can handle trying to explain sodium fluoride. So let me introduce Gilbert Newton Lewis the inventor of the Lewis structure.

According to wikipedia"
"In 1913, he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences. He resigned in 1934, refusing to state the cause for his resignation; it has been speculated that it was due to a dispute over the internal politics of that institution or to the failure of those he had nominated to be elected."
"If Lewis's death was indeed a suicide, a possible explanation was depression brought on by a lunch with Irving Langmuir. Langmuir and Lewis had a long rivalry, dating back to Langmuir's extensions of Lewis's theory of the chemical bond. Langmuir had been awarded the 1932 Nobel Prize in chemistry for his work on surface chemistry, while Lewis had not received the Prize despite having been nominated 41 times.[3] On the day of Lewis's death, Langmuir and Lewis had met for lunch at Berkeley, a meeting that Michael Kasha recalled only years later.[23] Associates reported that Lewis came back from lunch in a dark mood, played a morose game of bridge with some colleagues, then went back to work in his lab. An hour later, he was found dead. Langmuir's papers at the Library of Congress confirm that he had been on the Berkeley campus that day to receive an honorary degree."

What did Lewis know? Let's make use of his famous invention, the Lewis Structure... Someday"this student needs a scribe"...So let me tell you of an illicit love affair that has been kept secret as far back as anyone can remember. Sodium and Fluorine seemed like a perfect couple, one needing an electron, the other with an extra electron just to practically give away... Then they went for a swim in the water. They both just disappeared...
And sure as Horton heard a who, they had found someone new.

Sodium Fluoride is water soluble it's true...
but apparently Fluoride wanted something more,

sharing an electron with hydrogen just wasn't as good as sharing with the oxygen in silicon dioxide.

The glass broke and the water fell to the floor!

Fluoride is an electron stealing carnivore!

Fluoride is demanding it can eat your teeth right off...

Until its old flame it rediscovers. Caught leaving brown marks on teeth... fluoride and calcium are repeat salt lovers...and even more

offensive to the prudes of the day fluoride prefers 2 ions and throws traditional electron sharing monogamy away!

The lies can keep on lying after years, they will not go away...so we still follow healthcare advice, from Nazi Germany today....

On the next days of our electrons how will Sodium Fluoride react to iron pipes?

"Following additional studies completed in the early 1930s in St. David, Arizona 8 and Bauxite, Arkansas,9 it was determined that high levels of naturally occurring fluoride in the drinking water were causing the mottled enamel"
